This beautiful handcrafted tealight holder is a fusion of two classic Indian handicrafts styles, Channapatna from Karnataka and Woodblock printing from Rajasthan.

The birds are made in the Channapatna style and the tree is the classic handblock pattern.

About the Artisan

Abshar Husain is a master artisan living in Pilkhuwa, a small town in the state of Uttar Pradesh in India. He is a winner of India's National Award for Craftsmanship in the art of wood carving. 

In this collection, Abshar Husain has taken inspiration from Block Printing, one of India's oldest form of textile printing, and used the motifs and wood blocks to create Picture Frames and Tealight Holders.
